Hello.

I have a great suggestion for improving the functionality of the Samsung keyboard.

Please consider improving the T9 suggestion that appears when erasing a newly autocorrected word — the one shown as the first suggestion above the keyboard — so that it restores the originally typed message.

What do I mean by this? When you type a word, T9 may change it and highlight it with a WHITE/BLACK underline to indicate that the word was modified. If I do NOT type a new character, but instead move the cursor back to that word (erasing the added space), the very first suggestion above the keyboard will be the exact word I originally typed, allowing me to restore the original version. However... if I type even one more word or symbols further on, this suggestion disappears, which is very inconvenient.

I understand that you can always tap the word where the white underline is to restore the original word, but doing that every time on a large smartphone (I use the S24 Ultra, and before that the S21 Ultra) requires shifting the phone between your hands. On top of that, it opens a dialog box each time, and that dialog box also opens with a slight delay.

I personally type quickly. When you type a new word, you can sort of see the T9 change happen on screen, and it seems to me that erasing the newly typed 2-3 letters or the already-typed new word is easier than having to shift the phone between hands, or later scrolling through the EditText field to look for the white underlines and restore the words that were clearly correct as typed.

I'm showing this in the screenshots (I've drawn where my cursor is).

In the photo, you can see that I typed the word "message" incorrectly, with only one "s". When I erased the inserted space, a suggestion appeared showing the word I had actually typed (photo 1). But as soon as I typed any new character and then went back to that word, this suggestion disappeared (photo 2).

My suggestion is to keep context for every modified word, so that whenever the cursor moves to a T9-modified word, the original typed version is always shown as the first suggestion regardless of what was typed afterward — or to add such a feature.
