Is it possible to stop Calendar from automatically deleting all personal events after what appears to be about a year - or at least extend the length of time they're retained before deletion? Thanks for any help on this.

Here is exactly how Google handles your Calendar data as an individual user:

Kept Indefinitely: By default, Google never automatically deletes your past calendar events. Your calendar history is stored forever unless you manually delete items. The Mobile App Illusion: If you scroll back on the Google Calendar app on your phone or tablet, it might look like older events have vanished. They haven't. The mobile app typically only syncs the last 12 months of history to save storage on your device. If you log into calendar.google.com on a web browser, all of your past events from years ago will still be there.

I'm sorry ignore the bit about the vault this is Ai generated

Outlook: Past events can be archived or deleted automatically to free up space, but this can be adjusted in the settings.

Hope this helps move you forward 😊 👏❤

I'm not sure I have or can use Google Vault. I'm a personal user of several Android mobile devices, eg smartphone & tablet. I'm not part of, or supported by, any large organisation with system Administrators who manage data retention, etc.
