Simce downloading the new software update my Google widget cannot be removed from the bottom of the screen. Ive tried restarting my phone, clearing google cache disabling google and also deleting it and installing again still the same has anyone got any ideas to remove it as it doesbt even let me select it.

If long-press won't even select it, try resetting the home screen layout: Settings > General management > Reset > Reset home screen layout. That clears stuck widgets without deleting your apps or data, and you can set everything back up afterwards.
