Google books have shown that Android and laptops can work very well with each other. Does this mean that Samsung could make a Galaxy Book based on Android but with their own One UI skin on it?
And if you think that galaxy books are fine with windows then yeah I understand why you may think that. Windows is more optimised, is one of the most used OS' in the world and no one has really looked at a galaxy book and said "If only it didn't come with windows.".
However I believe that there are some benefits that a One UI style laptop can offer that a windows laptop cant, like:
Better customisation: Windows customisation is already really good but Microsoft is more strict compared to Google when it comes to customising their operating system (OS) and like I said previously we can have a One UI styled user interface (UI)
Better Ecosystem features: The eco system features between galaxy books and phones are reliant on an feature called Link to windows. Don't get me wrong the app is really good, its baked directly into One UI so it acts on a system level as opposed to a 3rd party app but the app can be laggy sometimes and some of its ecosystem features can honestly fail to work sometimes like the clipboard feature. Also Windows and Android are 2 seperate OS' its like 2 people having a conversation but they dont speak the same language so they use Google translate. But if its 2 Android devices communicating with eachother that would make the ecosystem much more smooth. And we wouldn't have to download Samsung ecosystem as seperate apps just to use them they would come with the laptop integrated at an OS level which Microsoft doesn't allow.
Less spyware/bloat: I think this ones self-explanitory Windows PC's come loaded with spyware and bloatware that choke up your RAM and storage. This is a problem that many people have complained about that Microsoft probably isn't even trying to fix. An Android based galaxy book would probably make this more manageable if im being honest.
But those are some reasons why I think an Android based Galaxy book would be better than a Windows based Galaxy book. But of course this isn't going to be an overnight thing. It may take a few years Android on laptops would have to catch up to MacOS and Windows when it comes to optimised apps.
But feel free to share your thoughts on this topic if you find it interesting.
