Hello,
After the One UI 8.5 update, the Text Editing panel/button was removed from Samsung Keyboard.
This feature still exists on my older Galaxy S22. It opens a panel called “Text editing” with cursor arrows and buttons such as Select, Select all, Cut, Copy, Paste, and other basic editing tools.
On my Galaxy S25 Ultra after One UI 8.5, the Text Editing button has been removed from the Samsung Keyboard toolbar. It is also absent from the toolbar customization screen and from the list of available buttons, so I cannot add it back manually.
Gestures are not an equivalent replacement, especially two-finger gestures. They are less precise, less convenient, and some people cannot use them comfortably or at all because of physical limitations. Dedicated editing buttons are much more accessible and reliable.
This was one of the most useful Samsung Keyboard features, and removing it made basic text editing worse.
Please restore the Text Editing panel in Samsung Keyboard. # samsungkeyboard, #oneui85
