If you can not power of your phone using the side button and you could before beta. This is because beta has changed your side button setting.

To get this back select SETTINGS, then ADVANCED FEATURES, then SIDE BUTTON, then click on LONG PRESS, and select POWER OFF MENU.

This is the tips section of the beta section of the beta forum.
And before you ask yes I have already given feedback on this issue.
