The new iOS-style stacked notifications in OneUI 7 are absolutely awful and far less efficient than what we had before in OneUI 6.1. Previously, I could see multiple notifications from an app grouped together in one compact card. There was no need to expand the card unless I wanted to take action on one of the notifications. Now, I can only see the most recent notification for any given app and I have to expand the stack every time just to see the rest.
This feels like a huge, clunky step backwards so please Samsung at least give us a setting to let us switch back to Android-style listed notifications instead of these stacked ones.
I was enjoying my S24 Ultra up until this change, but I must admit, I'm seriously thinking of heading back to Pixel now.

There is no solution to this currently, only thing you can do is give your feedback to Samsung via the members app, see screenshot

Your argument that "the majority of Samsung users aren’t complaining" is flawed. Most people don’t bother reporting issues—they either don’t have the time, don’t know how, or just silently accept things. So using that as a justification is bending the numbers. Silence doesn't equal approval.
Also, saying beta testers didn’t complain is pure assumption. Do you have access to Samsung’s internal beta feedback? If not, you're just guessing. And even if testers didn’t complain, beta testers are not a representative sample of all users. That logic would mean there should be no settings for anything—whatever works for the beta group should work for everyone, right?
You’re also missing a key point: different users have different needs. You like stacked notifications because you get hundreds per hour—fine. Others prefer a flat layout because they want to see messages at a glance without diving into sub-menus. Trying to force one approach on everyone is short-sighted and ignores how diverse Android’s user base really is.
And yes, I did report it via the Samsung Members app. But this thread is also one of the first results on Google when people search about notification stacking in One UI 7. So yes, it is a valid place to make our voices heard. If everyone just quietly reports feedback through the app and never posts publicly, how exactly would you know how many people are unhappy with this change? You wouldn’t. Public discussion matters.
If anything, your attitude of “just stop posting” actually helps Samsung pretend there’s no issue, and backs your claim that “only a few hundred people are complaining.” That’s exactly why people should speak up in public threads like this.

No of course I don't have access to Samsungs figures when it comes to beta testers as you don't have access to consumer numbers who like or dislike stacked notifications so that's a wash. My concern is that a lot of people who are complaining are not telling Samsung directly because they often ask who to complain to. I know you have complained via the correct channels but for the benefit of other members this screenshot will help them to also give feedback to Samsung directly.
This is a consumer forum so it is limited to how much we can assist, i don't work for Samsung and I purchased my devices as you have. The member stars don't have access to Samsung departments and we are limited in our own capacity to what we can do. We can only share potential solutions with others from our own experience.
So you can imagine when other members are attacking us for trying to help them (not referring to you) it's not very nice. We don't mind open conversation such as yours or disagreements just keep it polite.
We don't work for Samsung and we are not paid by Samsung and just like you we paid for our devices.

After reading the number of times that this exact issue was raised in the One UI Beta Programme threads, I don't understand how you could come to this conclusion.

I was recently updated to OneUI 7 on my Galaxy S21 Ultra and the stacked notifications are terrible. Being ADHD, having to do an extra step to find all of my notifications has been a disaster. I have missed many important texts and reminders... yes, the reminders I use to help me manage my ADHD, due to the useless stacking of notifications. If I wanted an IPhone for my personal phone, then I would have gotten an IPhone. I was forced to use an IPhone as my work phone and I hated it. If Samsung continues to try to make their OS an IPhone imitation then I will move onto another android phone manufacturer. My brother really likes his Google Pixel. I believe a Pixel will be my next phone.

Hi @AgnieszkaMP, how many different users should post here or send feedback with Samsung Members before Samsung developers change their minds and fix this issue?
@SpaceGooner has already sent you the picture with the comparison of the current and previous notification grouping style 9 months ago.
This is a Samsung choice, not an Android requirement, because the Pixel notification style is similar to the One UI 6.1 style, see here.
You'd removed the Bluetooth from the S-Pen because less of 1% of users - in your opinion - are actually using that features. There are 12 pages on this thread and other similar threads have been opened in other categories (such as S22) with people complaining about notification grouping! Without considering the majority of users that doesn't post here...

Hi, bumping a slightly old thread only because this stacking choice Samsung made made me miss my grandmother's wake.
I recieved a message regarding the date and time of the event, but as happens in a busy digital world, I recieved more messages after it. This caused me to not see the date and time. I missed the wake of my grandmother.
That's an event I can't get back. Luckily my mother noticed me not there and called me before the funeral/burial, but I. Missed. My. Grandmother's. Wake.
If I had the money to get a new phone, just for this instance I would seek a new brand. Please fix this because many once-in-a-lifetime things are being missed.
Thanks.

100% agree! Stacked notifications are horrible! I'm missing emails all day long. Please provide a toggle!

Thank you for capturing this. As a android user, being forced to adapt to how apple does things is annoying. I dont want this to be removed, but at least give users the option to choose which style they want. Undoing years of muscle memory is annoying.

Agreed too, this is miserable.
Even worse, the number and stack are barely differentiated from a single notification.

I agree. This change occurred as soon as my OneUI was updated from 6 to 7. This is a terrible change and I have missed many messages because I simply just am unaware that they are there since you now much tap the stack to even see what another message says. Please give us an option to toggle this between the old and new style.

I really don't like the stacked notifications and I have been missing notifications because I have swiped it thinking it's just one notification. The stacks look similar to a single notification. Either way I don't want a stack of notifications! I want my notifications individual. How they were before this iOS lookalike update.
