On the email icon I don't get the number associated with how many unread emails also same with text messages I have, but so far everything else looks good so well done 👏

The Gmail icon is showing all new emails for me. Are you sure you have notifications turned on for gmail?

Make sure app icon badge is ticked & default always on is selected.
