I may be late but I hate the guts of Spotify now bar - at least how it's now. I either get a huge permanent notification of what I'm playing now, hiding other notifications or I lose the option to easily skip songs or to skip them when phone is locked. I need it to go back to how it was before, I beg you ;___;
Way to make something worse, Samsung. Who thinks of these ideas. It makes it much less accessible. I used to be able to see what was playing/change songs with ease. And squashing it inbetween call and camera buttons...so stupid.

Tap on the Spotify player in the Now Bar to expand it to display the album art and to enlarge the Spotify player buttons.
