The user has recently updated their Samsung S23 Ultra to One UI version 8.0 and Android version 16, with the current software version being S918BXXU8EYI5 and a security patch level of September 1, 2025. Following the update, they noticed a change in the behavior of the Secure Folder feature. Previously, the folder would require re-authentication each time the user exited it, but now it only locks when the screen itself is locked, which is different from the earlier experience.
