I'm not receiving WhatsApp notifications when I'm on 4G/5G, even though background data usage is allowed and the battery settings are in no restriction mode. I only get messages after opening the WhatsApp app.

Do you have S22 Ultra? Does this issue happen after the latest security patch ?

If you're running the latest version of the Whatsapp app and there are no any delays of Wi-Fi, the issue might be because of using old Sim, but the issue occurs on WiFi as well you might need to disable Dize via adp command and that requires PC

The latest version has

2.24.19.90

you can try to download different versions via the apk mirror to test whether the issue related to the app or the phone itself

There is a beta version with a newer build number as well, but I suggest keep using a stable version
