I would like to suggest that Samsung introduce dedicated point updates (such as One UI 8.5, 9.5, and 10.5) focused entirely on system optimization and separate their major feature overhauls Splitting updates and this way it would allow developers to focus purely on improving battery longevity, refining media playback efficiency, and delivering measurable percentages of lag and stutter reduction across all hardware tiers. Delivering performance tune-ups in mid-cycle point updates—while saving heavy visual features for major annual versions—would significantly elevate UI responsiveness and ensure that long-term supported software remains fluid and stable throughout its entire lifecycle.

I totally agree with you. Samsung should really split updates like this. One UI 8.5, 9.5 focused ONLY on optimization is a brilliant idea.
Major updates always bring new features but also bring lag and battery drain, especially for A series and older flagships. If Samsung delivers a mid-cycle performance update focused purely on:
- Battery longevity optimization
- Lag & stutter reduction
- Media playback efficiency
That would be a game changer! Everyone wants a fluid and stable experience for long term.
Google does similar with Pixel Feature Drops vs Optimization. Samsung should definitely consider this.
Great thinking! Hope Samsung Members team forwards this to the dev team! This deserves more likes!
