Recently, my phone's display broke, and I contacted a Samsung service center in Sri Lanka. As I understand it, if you buy a phone overseas or from an unauthorized dealer in Sri Lanka, you will not receive a free display replacement.
My phone was purchased in Dubai, and when I contacted Dubai/Gulf customer care, they did not offer a free display replacement. If you buy from an authorized dealer in Sri Lanka, you will receive that offer before the warranty expires.
One thing to note regarding display changes: there are two service centers, No. 532 and No. 518. No. 532 is 5,000 less compared to No. 518.

There are some terms and conditions. And if you only meet them they provide the free replacement. Other than that we could repair it my giving cash. Hope your display replacement went well.
