Anyone having issues with google pay after the One UI 9 update? I cannot make any payments

Yea I also notice something different in the Google Pay App compared to earlier after Installing the One UI 9 Update. But I still couldn't make a payment and check it yet.

It doesn't work. I tried twice from two different merchants. It says there is an app error.

Ohh okay. There must be some sort of small issue. As user's what we can do currently is that check whether there is an App update for the Google Pay App from the Playstore and if have install it.

And yesterday only Google Released the September 2026 Google Play Systems Update to all Samsung Phones. So better to update the Google Play System Update also and check again since every Google Play Monthly System Updates have Improvements to the Google Pay App.

After doing all these. If it's still doesn't work. We should wait Until an Google Pay App Update arrives to solve the issue.

Yes, this is a known issue after One UI 9. Google Pay / Wallet needs to re-verify after the update.

Try this, it fixed for me:

01. Open Google Wallet > Remove your cards and add them again

02. Settings > Connections > NFC > Make sure "Contactless payments" is set to Google Pay (not Samsung Pay)

03. Settings > Apps > Google Play Services > Storage > Clear Cache

04. Restart your phone

Also check if your device is still certified: Open Google Play Store > Settings > About > Play Protect certification should be "Certified". If it's not, Wallet won't work.

Let me know if it works after that.
