problem with silent mode

I am using galaxy S7 edge and facing a unique problem which I never faced in any other Samsung device. When I put my phone in silent mode then it does not remain in silent mode for long. if someone calls me on silent mode then the first call will land in silent mode only and then in subsequent calls the silent mode goes off and phone starts ringing. I have checked all the options but not able to fix it. Can someone please help?
