Anyone facing the same issue, sometimes home button on navigation gesture is not working, had to restart atleast twice a day

Yes, if he is using Navigation buttons then disabling the battery optimization for "3 button navigation bar" will work but if he is using Navigation gestures then he will have to disable battery optimization for "Gestural navigation bar".
