After spending too many hours on this problem this week, I finally decided to delete the google photos app on my phone. Problem solved.I do have to add Samsung needs to get its act together. I switched from apple to android years ago when the Note 9 first came out and loved it.Upgraded to the S22 the first day it was offered and it has been a royal pain with problems. I HATE my time wasted and fiddling around with this phone constantly is getting tiresome.

Did you turn the back up of in Google photos. Samsung doesn't use Google photos for back up as default it uses Microsoft one drive. Don't think Google photos is even comes installed on Samsung phone.
