Hey Samsung Members! Today, I will be reviewing the Galaxy SmartTag3

The SmartTag3 is nice! It is more compact and more premium-looking than the original SmartTags from Samsung.

It is a nice upgrade for me and anyone who has the original ones. The tones for the SmartTag3 are nice and loud, so you do not have to worry about not being able to hear them if they are buried.

The phone I have paired with the SmartTag3 is the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is important to know because some features that use UWB are not available on all Galaxy devices. Your device must have UWB to be able to access certain features
like Compass View.

You can use Samsung Find or SmartThings to view your SmartTag3.

Now, for accessories.

As seen in my tutorial post, you have a couple of options:

the loop case

And

silicone case

Both options are nice but in my opinion, the silicone case is the way to go for my daily use. I have the first SmartTag3 on my keys with the silicone case. it's discreet and I believe it will last longer for this specific use.

One wish that I hope to see in later updates.

1. Compass View (AR support)

I would love to see Samsung build a way in Compass View to have the camera activated live and have the pointer point to exactly where the SmartTag3 is. That would be more helpful than a blank screen saying "It's Here."

In conclusion, Samsung is on the right track with the latest SmartTag3. The design and materials are more premium and durable and in my opinion, they are a software update away from making these truly awesome with AR support.

    Hello Jamesey,

Thank you for sharing your excellent review of the Galaxy SmartTag3 with the Samsung Canada Community!

We truly appreciate your detailed feedback on the premium design, louder tones, and the durability of the silicone case for your keys. It is also very helpful that you noted the UWB requirement for features like Compass View.

We completely understand how much more helpful a live AR camera view would be compared to a screen that just says "It's Here." Your idea for an AR pointer makes perfect sense for finding misplaced items quickly.

Please rest assured that we have shared your brilliant suggestion for live AR tracking directly with our smart accessories development team for future updates.
