Dear Samsung Support and Samsung Community,
I am experiencing a performance issue on my Samsung Galaxy A36 5G after updating to One UI 9 (Android 17).
Device Information:
- Device: Samsung Galaxy A36 5G (SM-A366W)
- RAM: 6 GB
- Software: One UI 9 (Android 17)
- Display: 120 Hz Adaptive
Issue Description:
When I swipe up to return to the home screen from heavy apps such as TikTok, Instagram, or certain games, the gesture initially follows my finger smoothly. However, after releasing my finger, there is sometimes a noticeable delay of approximately one second before the app fully exits and the home screen appears.
This issue is more noticeable at 120 Hz, while switching to 60 Hz seems to improve responsiveness. Some apps, such as YouTube, appear to exit more smoothly even at 120 Hz.
Troubleshooting Already Attempted:
- Adjusting RAM Plus settings
- Changing between 60 Hz and 120 Hz
- Adjusting gesture animations through Good Lock Home Up
- Testing battery optimization settings
- Restoring developer options to default
- Restarting the device
Despite these adjustments, the issue still occurs intermittently.
I would appreciate clarification on whether this is a known One UI 9 optimization issue, an animation or frame-rendering problem, or a limitation affecting the Galaxy A36.
Could Samsung investigate this issue and consider improving gesture responsiveness and app-exit animations in a future software update?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards, Galaxy A36 5G User
