recently tried to change some permissions for an app in my secure folder but it said that I did not have permission to and to contact IT, and if i choose uninstal work profile it will delete entire secure folder, but I don't use this for work and didn't set-up a work profile any, how do I change permission now?

If not go ahead and delete the work profile it will not affect your own secure folder
P.S
It is always good for you to make a backup regularly using smart switch just to make sure everything you have is save somewhere
