I don't understand why Samsung strips features from major software updates on older models. I completely understand omitting a feature due to actual hardware limitations, but purely software-driven features shouldn't be withheld. We paid a premium for flagship devices, not mid-range phones. This approach to long-term support is frustrating, and it's an area where Apple is far superior.

Please note that feature availability across different Galaxy models may vary depending on several factors, including:
While some features may appear software-based, certain functionalities are deeply integrated with newer hardware platforms or optimized specifically for particular device generations to ensure stable performance and user experience.
Samsung continuously evaluates feature compatibility and optimization across supported devices, and customer feedback like yours is important in helping improve future update planning and software experience consistency.

However, my primary concern remains with the purely software-driven features and ecosystem enhancements that do not rely on next-generation hardware. The Galaxy S23 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a flagship platform that possesses more than enough performance overhead and memory capability to handle standard software refinements, UI optimizations, and cross-platform sharing tweaks.
While it is completely understandable to omit features tied to physical components (like new camera lenses or specialized display layers), holding back standard software improvements feels like artificial product segmentation rather than a true technical barrier.
As a loyal flagship user, I strongly urge the development team to reconsider and port these software-based quality-of-life updates to the S23 series. Doing so would truly uphold Samsung’s commitment to long-term, premium software support for its flagship devices.
Thank you for sharing this specific distinction with the product and software development teams for consideration in future updates.
Thanks
